Meet the Superheroes of School Customer Experience: Recognizing Leaders

It’s a bird, it’s a plane…

Pop culture is filled with stories of heroes using their powers to save the day–be it through feats of strength, blazing-fast speed, even in flight.

But movies and comic books aren’t the only places where superheroes live and work.

On any given day, you can walk through a local K-12 school and meet real, everyday heroes. These are the teachers, staff, and school leaders who are committed to making a difference in the lives of students and families, no matter the challenges or obstacles they face.

At TrustED, we feel privileged to have an opportunity to share inspiring and amazing stories of school leaders and educators doing incredible things.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll highlight a group of K-12 superheroes with a particular set of skills. These educators have made it their mission to improve the school experience by focusing on changing their school culture, including a focus on building trust and improving the five key dimensions of school climate.

Here’s a quick look at some of the stories you’ll hear:

After realizing that students weren’t being heard on issues important to them, superhero administrators at one Virginia district sought a way to amplify student voice–and shed light on previously hidden challenges facing the district.
engage

To protect the community in the wake of growing concerns around school safety, a group of superhero school leaders in Texas have committed to empowering parents, students, and community members to openly share their concerns, and contribute to conversations around school safety.
The Power Of Parents

In California, one district of superheroes actively recruits parents in support of their students’ learning–and that effort is showing incredible feats of progress.
These are just some of the stories we’ll be sharing right here on TrustED over the next few weeks.Though they may not feature capes, explosions, pops, booms, or bangs, we hope they’ll inspire you to think about championing the work of customer experience superheroes in your school or district.
