The Cost of Caring: A New 3-Minute Podcast

It’s been an amazing year here at TrustED.

With a growing audience and new educators and thought leaders signing on to share their stories, our editors have tried to confront many of the hard challenges and hard truths facing our schools.

That work continues.

Today, we are pleased to introduce the TrustED Podcast.

Hosted by Managing Editor Todd Kominiak, we’ll explore many of the same issues we cover on TrustED, but in the way only a podcast can. Whether you’re at the gym, on a jog, or in the car, you get your daily dose of TrustED.

Our first episode explores the “cost of caring,” the process by which the effects of childhood traumas, such as poverty, abuse, or bullying, affect the mental health of those whose job it is to care for the victims. In this case, we take a look at how teachers face and overcome this troubling reality. If you haven’t read our post on the cost of caring, check it out here.

This is only a taste of the podcast. We’ll have much more coming in the new year. And, we’ll be playing with the subject matter and the formatting as we go.

For now, take a listen to our first episode and let us know what you think—either here, in the comments, or on social media.

Enjoy!
