Thought for the Day:  “Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him.”
– Maya Angelou

ACSD#1 Strategic Plan Update:  The school board will review the strategic plan dashboard and important metrics during the next two school board meetings.  We will focus on the high level metrics that define our destinations:
·        All students are performing at grade-level performance standards
·        All students have access to ACSD#1 services and programs
·        All students and staff members are engaged in teaching and learning
·        All students graduate with future plans

Policy Committee Work:  We will review a number of school board policies during the next 6 – 8 weeks.  We are working on policies related to sick leave, extra duty stipends, and student fees.  A list of all of the committees can be found under the school board tab on the district website.  If you are interested in contributed to the discussion, please let me know.

Social Media:  The Monday Message is delivered each week via email, but we are also sending a link through Facebook and Twitter.  You can follow ACSD1 on Twitter:  @ACSD1WY  and on Facebook:

Have a great week,

Jubal C. Yennie, Superintendent
Albany County School District One
