Thought for the Day:

In education it isn't how much you have committed to memory or even how much you know. It's being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don't. It's knowing where to go to find out what you need to know  and it's knowing how to use the information you get.  -William Feather

Thanksgiving Gratitude: I trust that everyone enjoyed their time with family and friends during the Thanksgiving Holiday. We often travel during Thanksgiving to visit relatives, but this year we were able to host my parents, and that was a joy for my wife and me, because it is not easy for my parents to get around and get away from their home. Like many of us, we get busy with our lives and forget to connect, but when we get a chance to sit and visit with our loved ones, we are reminded that gratitude and compassion are strong attributes of a well lived life.

School Board Trustees to take Oath of Office:  Newly elected and re-elected school board members will take the Oath of Office today at noon.  Jackie Gonzales, Albany County Clerk, will administer the Oath of Office.  The new members of the school board will be present for the December school board meeting.

Committee and Policy Work:  We have a number of committees working on policies and procedures, and some of these committees will be finishing up their work prior to the end of December.  Some of the current committees include extra duty pay stipends, sick leave, annual calendar, and student fees.  A list of the committee members can be found on the employee resources or the school board tab on our website.   The policies that are currently under consideration can be found under the school board tab on our website.  School Board members appreciate your insight on policies that may affect your work.

Welcome back

 Have a great week,

         Jubal
