Thought for the Day “Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”
              Albert Einstein

ACSD#1 Values
Our vision statement was established by the school board to point to the future: Entrusting and empowering everyone to excel.  We are making progress on our journey, and we will know when this vision is realized when we have confidence and evidence that we live our values every day in every interaction we have with each other and with our students and families.  How are we doing?  When we fall short, we need to remind ourselves that we all make mistakes, but we have a higher standard to reach.

Our Values:

  • Engagement: Student success is built upon a foundation of community engagement — involvement, decision making, participation, and leadership
  • Collaboration: Education is a collaborative process requiring  shared responsibility among educators, parents, students, and  the community
  • Equity: Decisions are driven by ensuring equitable opportunities for all learners
  • Transparency: Governance, communications, operations, and actions are transparent for all stakeholders

Peer Review (Accreditation) Visit:   we host a team of nine educators starting tomorrow.  The visitation team includes educators from around the state and representatives from the Wyoming Department of Education.  They will meet with administration tomorrow, and they will visit schools and classrooms on Wednesday.  The team will have an exit report on Wednesday afternoon to share some highlights of their visit.

ACSD#1 Health Fair: the health fair is tomorrow in the Laramie High School gymnasium from 8 – 10 a.m.  We hope that our employees who have questions about insurance, health benefits, and retirement can take this time to meet with all of the voluntary benefits providers.

 Have a great week,
         Jubal
