California
The district
Small, tight-knit community in La Habra, California. 5,000 students. 200 teachers. 9 campuses.
The challenge
Administrators needed to reconfigure district schools to better serve students, engage families, and stave off declining enrollment.
The results
Administrators used K12 Insight’s Let’s Talk! and Engage solutions to effectively listen to, understand, and measure community perceptions and preferences throughout the district’s reconfiguration process. With community support and engagement, they rezoned schools, established specialized focuses at each campus, and reorganized staff. Now, families are more involved and student enrollment is on the rise.
In their words
“The expertise K12 Insight provided was key when undertaking something of this magnitude. We were able to talk to them about the issues and challenges we were facing, and they helped us brainstorm and problem solve.” — Dr. Joanne Culverhouse, superintendent
