Creating Tags help to identify trends across Topics, Customer groups, and time periods.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While System Administrators control the list of Tags that are accessible system-wide, all Users can add and manage custom Tags.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To manage your Tags, navigate to Settings and click on Tags located under the Reporting section of the left panel. Here, you can:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage Default Tags<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage Custom Tags and Categories<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>Manage Default Tags<\/strong><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Default Tags cover common K-12 topics. They are preloaded in your account and are automatically enabled (108 Tags, 16 categories).<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Tag is enabled when a check mark appears at the right. All enabled Tags will be searchable by all Users and available to add to Tickets.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Disable Default Tags by clicking on them so that the check mark is no longer visible and is replaced by a \ud83d\udec7 icon.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Note:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You cannot edit Default Tags. Instead, you may want to disable a Default Tag then create a new Custom Tag to replace it.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To edit a custom Tag, click into the text of the Tag and modify as appropriate.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>Custom Tags and Categories<\/strong><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To ensure that you are able to track everything that matters, you are able to add custom Tags to existing categories or create your own category of Tags.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, if you would like to track how often you are receiving Tickets related to specific schools even before your schools appear as live Topics on your page, you may choose to create a custom category in which each Tag is the name of a school.<\/span><\/i><\/p><h4><b>Creating a Custom Tag Category\u00a0<\/b><\/h4><ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the textbox for tag categories.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Type the desired Tag Category name into the textbox, then click \u201cAdd\u201d.<\/span><\/li><\/ol><h4><b>Adding Custom Tags to an Existing Category<\/b><\/h4><ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Type the desired Tag name into the textbox located at the top of the page then click Add.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201cSelect Category\u201d pop-up window will then appear for you to choose which category this Tag will belong to.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click \u201cAdd Tag\u201d and your new Tag is created.<\/span><\/li><\/ol><h3><b>Enable\/ Disable Custom Tags<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Disabled Tags will not be available to add to future Tickets.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To disable a custom Tag, hover over the Tag, until a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\ud83d\udec7 icon appears, and then click on the Tag. The tag will become grayed out and include an \u201cX\u201d symbol.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To delete a custom Tag, first make sure it is disabled then click on the X.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><b>Note: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a Tag has already been added to a Ticket, it will still be included with that Ticket and in the Dashboard even if the Tag has since been disabled.
