When your team responds, that message is delivered to the community member\u2019s phone as a text message.<\/span><\/p><h2><strong>Turn on Text into Onflo for your district!\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">System Admins can activate this feature for your district\u2019s account by going to <strong>Settings &gt; Channels &gt; Phone\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p><h2><strong>Request a Onflo Number<\/strong><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For accounts that have never requested a number before - You\u2019ll click the\u00a0<strong>Request Number\u00a0<\/strong>button. This will submit your request to our team, and the request will show as\u00a0<strong>Pending\u00a0<\/strong>until it is processed.<\/span><\/p><p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15754 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.k12insight.com\/kc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Screenshot-2026-01-15-182353.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1900\" height=\"581\" \/><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While the request is processing you will be able to complete setting up the phone number including the following:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><strong>Call Routing<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Customer Feedback Message<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Enable Call Recording<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Enable Hold Music<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Select Queues for Outgoing Calls<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Create Ticket Option<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15755\" src=\"https:\/\/www.k12insight.com\/kc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Screenshot-2026-01-15-182615.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1635\" height=\"614\" \/><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Requests generally take around 2 business days to complete. Once complete, a team member from K12 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Insight <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will notify the System Admin(s).\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h2><strong>Set up\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select the <strong>Text<\/strong> tab at the top of the Phone Settings page to access the Text feature.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15756 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.k12insight.com\/kc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Screenshot-2026-01-15-183227.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1134\" height=\"471\" \/><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the Number Name (ex. HR), activate the feature by switching the toggle from grey to blue.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will be able to select both a topic to assign the number to and enable an Auto-Reply Text Message<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>Auto-Replies and Saved Replies<\/strong><\/h2><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15757 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.k12insight.com\/kc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/GIFRecording20260115at6.38.54PM.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1918\" height=\"868\" \/><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can enable or disable an auto-reply text that is sent to customers when they text into the Onflo Number. By default, it is enabled with a standard message.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You have the option to customize the auto-response in the text box.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also create saved replies (similar to response templates) for use on tickets received through text messages.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remember to save your changes and customizations!\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What does it look like in action?\u00a0<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once your district has received a Onflo Number and team members have been set up to receive text tickets, it\u2019s time to PROMOTE that number!\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A customer sends a text message to the Onflo Number and immediately receive the auto-reply (unless disabled in settings).\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Their message will then land in the inbox of the selected texting team, <\/span><b>without<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> being assigned an topic.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A member of the texting team will review the ticket and assign it to the proper topic.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proceed as with any Onflo Ticket<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you know additional contact information about the customer who texted in, you can update it under Customer Information within the ticket.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Replies will be sent back as a text message reply. The option to send an email response will be available if the customer email address is added to Customer Information.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the ticket is closed, the customer will receive a feedback form sent as a link through their text messages.<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2794 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.k12insight.com\/kc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/IMG_2592.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"231\" height=\"500\" \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2795 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.k12insight.com\/kc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/IMG_2594.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"231\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p><p><strong>Text into Onflo is a service-related messaging feature, accordingly, it does not contain an opt-out option.
