For a Recorder, this is the primary function.<\/span><\/i><\/p><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To create a new Ticket, click the green pencil icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen.<\/span><\/i><\/p><p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-16595\" src=\"https:\/\/www.k12insight.com\/kc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Creating-ticket-GIF.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"379\" \/><\/p><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Create a Ticket form that opens includes most of the same fields as the Customer-facing version, with a few variations.<\/span><\/i><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select a Topic, then further identify which team member is best suited to respond to the ticket.<\/span><\/i><\/i><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even before sending, add Tags to the ticket to offer your colleague as much information as possible and to help with reports.<\/span><\/i><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Options at the bottom of the form allow the user to:<\/span><\/i><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add an internal comment if there is information that should be shared with colleagues only.<\/span><\/i><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add the user recording the message to the ticket. This option is pre-selected by default, and allows the user to track the progress of the ticket as needed.<\/span><\/i><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Send the customer a thank-you email.
