Spring ISD is responsible for educating and inspiring more than 36,000 students. Over the last two years, the district has made good strides to improve its schools, using its strategic plan -- Every Child 2020 -- as a guide. But there’s more work to be done.

It has been nearly a decade since Spring ISD passed a bond, and school districts across the state only receive funding for daily operations. So things like new schools, new buses, new technology and major renovations require funding from a voter-approved bond referendum.

A $330 million bond package that addresses the district’s long-awaited needs appears on the 2016 election ballot. A committee made up of more than 70 community members developed the proposal to ensure that all district schools will benefit from the bond.
