PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR FORM:

  • If someone is in immediate danger, please call the SPS Safety and Security Office at 206-252-0707 or dial 911.
  • Submit one issue or question per form for which you are seeking assistance from the Ombuds Office.
  • Questions marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
  • We may follow up by email or phone to gather additional information if needed.
  • Not every concern falls within the Ombuds Office's role, but if we are not the right resource, we will help direct you to someone who can assist.

The District Ombuds Office is an alternative dispute resolution resource that supports parents, guardians, students, and SPS staff in resolving issues that negatively impact students or the school-family partnership.

We provide information, explore options, and—when existing resolution efforts have not worked—may offer informal intervention to address concerns at the lowest possible level. Please note that we do not override existing processes. Additionally, we do not get involved in legal matters or legal proceedings, such as testifying in court or participating in ongoing lawsuits. Our process is meant to facilitate good faith communication and problem-solving.
